You could do this teaming up with your family, work mates, school friends or neighbours and organise a special fund raising event as a group effort. It could be a garage sale, social dinner, cake drive - whatever idea works best for you.
Our fundraising guidelines are simple.
Unlike some charities, we do not get involved with giving commissions to charity fundraisers. We promise donors that 95% of the funds raised will go to Bangladesh, so commissions are not possible. Ever. Of course, the out-of-pocket costs from any fundraising event you organise can be deducted from the total raised.
You can build a new Fred Hyde School for just AUD$12,500 (US$10,000) plus AUD$10,500 for annual running costs.
If you are fund raising for us overseas, that's approximately US$8,000 per year for a school, or £6,000 or 7,000 euros per year. Not much in any currency and a very achievable target.

We have now DVD copies of the ABC TV documentary "Australian Story" that featured Fred Hyde and his remarkable work on Bhola Island. We can send them out to you and to interested people. All we ask is a donation of at least $15 in return. If you need a DVD to show at a fund raising event, then there is no charge.
